I found myself smiling and chuckling along to thier antics. We had come across a spot in the creek that bent out wide on both sides, deep in the center. The six of them played pranks on each other while they swam, splashing and jumping off the large boulder that flanked the opposite side of where I layed. I lounged, legs extended crossed infront of me, my body leaned backwards, my arms behind me propping me up.
My eyes fell on Emily. She sat on a small outcropping. Still wearing her dress, she was careful to not get it wet. She did have her feet in the water, though. Vivian was careful to make sure none splashed her and gave Emily a good amount of loving attention. Emily was smiling and her eyes golden. I enjoyed seeing her smile and let her gaurd down... she was always so withdrawn.
I spied Evelyn and Leo. Evelyn sporting some vogue bathingsuit, Leo in a simple pair of swim shorts. They were off by themselves, sitting in the swift rapid some twenty yards down from the rest of us. Chatting quietly.
Everyone seems wonderfully at ease. I enjoyed this. I reclined fully, allowing my head to rest on the cool damp grass. I had not gone into the water. I did not plan to. The mist falling from the heavily clouded sky was enough moisture for me today. I closed my eyes...
... the sounds of the forest were lulling. If sleep did not elude us I am sure the sleep I could sleep here would be the most peaceful. I heared the ground squirrls burrowing in the roots. Birds of al sorts in the canopy singing and chirping. A cricket in the distants slowly eeking out a tune. He was off tempo.
I wished we could stay here longer. Maybe we could. The smells that swirled around my face told me strongly that humans frequented here. I did not miss the tale-tell icy scent that was faint in the grass... or the horrid musk that entertwined. I wished we could stay longer. It did remind me faintly of home in Ireland. But it seemed occipied. I got curious... I didn't need to ask. I was sure if I concentrated I could find the nearby presences I was looking for, that seemed to exist here but I was feeling lazy.
I sat up. "Leo, how do you feel about this place?" Twenty yards away, he did not look at me to speak. I had interupted the couple's conversation. "There's a lot of strange emotion here. A lot of conflict." "That is too bad." I slightly mumbled it.
"Why so curious?" Aislinn piped up. Her strong Irish accent shining with every word. I turned toward her, she was smiling and very wet. She was enjoying herself. "It seems like a good place to put down roots for a while." I looked up at the sky breifly. "So much life here in the forest, so much sunless skies. It is a lot like home." "Home?" Vivian questioned. "I'm still not sure what our plans are. Why we even left Ireland. The place seemed perfect for us. We did not need to stay in that one little down. We could have done big city life... Dublin, or Belfast." "Apologies by me from growning bored." I told her. "I was born in Ireland, I do not intend to spend an eternity on the island." Vivian turned to finish Emily's hair. French-braided pigtails.
I layed back down again. We'll be back on the road soon. Maybe. I will let them continue playing.

OOC: Mind If I reply? not completley sure fo how I can play Alice's power.. btu I suppose how I described it is decent enough... lol Steps were as silent as ever, no noise broke the typical quiet of the forest. Though there was the sound of voiced off in the distance. Who were they? Humans out enjoying the day? Probably. Alice continued her slow walk along the narrow trail she was following. A breeze picked up, brushing across her ivory skin, coppery colored eyes watching the forest ahead, as if she expected something to jump out at her at any moment. Alice wasn't normally this jumpy, what was up with it. The breeze brought a scent with it and Alice froze. Other vampires? She wondered. It had to be. Only vampires had that scent, but why would there be others around here? And there was definitely more then one of them, that just made things worse. Alice decided to check it out, not physically, she leaned against a tree, supporting herself as she slipped into the trance like state where she could envision the future of others. She felt around the typical futures she saw, those of her family and others in the community until she was in the black space where the futures of those around her hung like the bright balls on a Christmas tree. She could feel the difference between the human and vampire 'aura's and choose one of the vampire's. She immediately saw a strong looking male with sandy colored hair. He was talking to some one beside him, a female. Alice did;t pay much attention to her. The sandy haired boy - or man rather - looked over his shoulder at a figure laying on a rock then looked around. It didn't give Alice much to go on. There were at least three of them. Alice gave up, there wasn't much she could do about a coven in the area without telling Carslile and the others. She came out of her trance like state and glanced quickly around. She could still hear the voices in the distance; Alice began a brisk walk back up the trail, toward her home, she didn't notice the breeze had changed direction....

It was Emily that spoke next. It was the soft whisper I had grown accustomed to. She hardly ever spoke a word, when she did speak, everybody listened. "Um..."
Lyra paused from taking another cannon-ball jump off the boulder. I sat up, arms behind me again to prop me up. Aislinn rose from benieth the surface, to pay attention. Evelyn and Leo grew silent, their dense bubble popped. Vivian, who sat next to her, looked at her with intent and encouragment for her to continue.
Emily stared down at her hands that twisted together. "I smelled another vampire. I thought you should know." The news didn't suprise me. I had already smelled the ligering scent wafting off the grass. I was probably too low to the ground to pick up the scent she caught.
"She's right." Vivian had her face to the comming breeze. "There is another, close. But the scent seems to be decending."
"Hmm." I said as I thought. "I believe we should stay put. Maybe they caught wind of the lot of us." But I continue to add, "Nevertheless. We will exercise caution and peacefullness. We do not want to make the first moves. Especially on other's territory."
I laid back down. This time to concentrate. I allowed the black emptiness to consume me, revealing the different shades of lumescent oblong shapes that quivered and whisped. I was seeing souls now. The pale light gloing shades of the others around me, my own black and bleak soul... I continued to span out. Presences of animals touching my senses... Reaching out further... there.
I found the one I was looking for. The strange gasious-liquid swirling representing a living being. It had a vampire's signature... this one was female. Her soul white, good and pure. It was moving away from us.
That is all I needed to know. I learned over the years not to pry. Well, for vampires at least. I left the emptiness, returning to my reverie. Peace didn't last a spit second.
What did you find? Emily's voice broke into my thoughts. I'm not worried. Was all I told her.
Go ahead and powerplay any Cullen character we do not currently have taken if you want... since you are returning to Carlisle.

Alice broke into the vampire equivalent of a run, speeding by to fast for the human eye to see, leaving only a light scent behind her on the leaves she brushed by. There were several of them, they didn't seem threatening, and they were 'vegetarian' vampires, Alice had noticed that the sandy haired one at least had had golden tainted eyes. That was one thing for them. Alice wondered who their leaner was, though she only half cared as she sped through the forest, her thoughts racing just as fast her body compared to human 'slowness'. Her breathing didn't increase as she finally came to the manicured lawn that signaled how close she was to the Cullen house. Already Alice could tell Bella was around, it wasn't hard to tell that now. Everyone else was here to by the smell of it. She couldn't see the house yet, even with her keen vampire eyes the tees around it were thick enough to hide it's white paint. As the delicately built Vampire finally slowed to a human pace when she came onto the back deck of the house she felt Edward's mind immediately on the edge of hers. Pondering weather to invade no doubt. The scent and memory of the other vampires came to he r mind and she felt Edward dive in. She was so used to it now she hardly noticed, as most humans would simply for the lack of mental sensitivity they had for Vampire talents. Carslile was in the living room, doing who knew what when Alice opened the door and stepped in. Alice watched him for a moment and he looked up at her. She decided to come right out and say it. "There are other vampires around." She said, her tone was a little panicked, but her stance showed she was calm, typical Alice. "Well there have been Vampires around here before.." Carslile trailed off, Alice knew what he meant. "it's a group of them, six or seven I'd say." She answered him. Six or seven, a few to many if Alice had let her opinion be know. In a moment Jasper was in the room, his eyes liquid gold. At least he won't be so tempted by Bella if she gets a cut again... Alice thought as she let him take her hand. A wave of calm serenity toughed her consciousness. Alice would have welcomed it, except for the fact that she actually wanted to meat these Vampires, strange she knew but maybe this could lead to something else other then more enemies.. Doubtful but possible.OOC: Alrighty then.. Lets see how pro I am at playing the leader person of the Cullen Clan Lol.. how 'bout I waits for people to fill in more Cullen Coven places lol. Though int he mean time I wouldn't mind playing afew of them.

ooc: It's up to you, we have a Rosalie... but that is it so far. I honestly thought the Cullen spots would get snatched up in an instant. I was wrong. It is hard to fill them so far, even Edward. Anyway... Just have fun with it. I had been unaware that Leo was tasting the atmosphere for his very subtle gift. He senses things... a feeling, an emotion, a presence not yet there. He normally has to search for these feelings, his gift is so faint. But sometimes it will hit him as if it fell from the sky, right on his lap. I have seen him before. Jump up out the couch, where he sat spacing on the television for hours, wide-eyed and frantic. This was not the case here. What Emily had told us concerned him. He was quiet... reaching out.
I only noticed when the low hum of low voices to my right had ceased. Downstream, Evelyn and Leo were silent, only the rapids coursing through the weathered rocks, crashing upon their still bodies. Then I heard a body leave the water.
I opened my right eye, dark red, nearly black, and squinted through the slit my eyelid had made to Leo looming over my head. I stiffled a smile, but quickly opened both my eyes. I didn't bother to sit up.
"Yes?" My tone was amused. Though I didn't force it out that way, and it made me smile. I stiffled a chuckle this time.
"There is something... something there. I cannot quite locate what or why." He looked concerned. If what he felt concerned him enough to talk to me about it, he hardly ever spoke to me, then I should give him better attention. I sat up, sat with my legs folded, and turned toward him. I had to look up for he still stood, dripping.
He filled his lungs with air and exhaled. "I think we're going to be confronted." His eyes searched for something that wasn't there. "But I am not sure. I could be making all this up. But confrontation is what I feel."
"Is it hostile?"
"I can't tell."
"Still not worried?" Emilys soft, timid voice echoed in my head.
This time I got up. Got to my feet and dusted my black slacks off. I did the same with my button-up black, long sleeve, cuffed, and collard (nicely pressed to, I might add) cotton shirt as well. I tucked any part of my shirt in that needed it.
"Well if the lot of you feel we should move on." My tone heavily laded with dissapointment and unithusiasm. I liked it here, what little time we spent here. It was peaceful. And far away from the Volturi. "Then pack it up, we head back to the cars now." Vivian stared at me with almost the same amount of dissapointment I feel. Aislinn looked sad, be she was strong and would not voice this. Emily sighed a silent sigh.
Evelyn was already irritated that we were not in the cars already. She stood, nearly pacing, next to Leo with her arms crossed. Lyra joined them without a word. Aislinn, Emily, and Vivian slowly rose from their points and stood by me, though this meant nothing, as we walked toward our parking spot.
We arrived at the cars. I immediately unlocked mine. My personal 1996 Lotus Elise Sport 160 with limo-tinted windows. Illegal... but nesessary. And oh how it purrs like a cheeta... Of course, there is the family car, the Audi A5/S5. Mine too, but Leo likes to drive it. I'll let him until we find a place to settle again. Buy them their own cars...
I emerged from ducking into the cab to find that everyone had gone off into the forest. Privacy to change back into their street clothes... I am alone.

OOC: Honestly, your an awsum poster, and i know my last post was hard to reply to but.. I do feel odd playing almost the full Cullen Coven.. Especially when the other people who play Cullens aren't actually in this thread.. *Sigh* I honestly feel like PMing the other Cullen Coven people and asking them to reply to this... (You wouldn't mind?) IC: Alice watched as Carslile walked over to the front door then back, pacing. Trying to decide what to do no doubt, Alice wasn't exactly a leader, though over the last couple years she had gained confidence in leading, not that she did much of that in this coven. Her grip tightened around Jaspers hand, it would have crushed a human hand, but it was a simple squeeze to Jasper. The serenity flooded through her, calming her anxious and nervous thoughts. Not hat she was truly scared yet, just worried, and not just for Bella's sake. A group of six or more vampires, what talents they had god only knew, and how coordinated they were as a 'family' again god only knew. Through these thoughts Carslile continued his pacing, never stopping, though slowing down. "Have a plan yet?" Alice asked as she leaned against Jasper, his cold frame a comforting form to have there. She was glad she had him with her. "Not really. We could confront them, and who knows what would happen or we could leave them be, they may only be passing through after all." Carslile made a point-counter-point argument with himself. "Well, they are on our territory and they may not be 'just passing through'.." Jasper's voice echoed as Alice wondered what to do, it was a tough decision. They could do two things, and so many things could happen depending on what they did. When the last cove, James coven had come around and there had been only three of them the Cullen coven had been more optimistic and had done nothing. But that had been an utter disaster. Alice absently twisted a few strands of her short dark hair around her right index finger, then unwound them and started again, a sure sign she was concentrating. Then an absent look took her face and she stood still. ~ Again in the darkness surrounded her, the bright orbs that were the futures of those close to her were the brightest with those she knew and the community behind them and dimmer. It seemed a far way off now, but the ornament like presences of the other vampires were there. Not really bright, but just illuminated by some internal light. The brightest one was the one of the sandy haired vampire who's future she had already glimpsed for a brief moment. Alice moved along to the other's - there were seven of them. Great. Anyways. She moved to the darkest one, the largest. His presence was almost suffocating, and it was a male. Alice dove into his essence, immediately she was dragged through a pretty confusing scenes of events, as if he were changing his mind ever few seconds. But that couldn't be right. She concentrated - no, the scene wasn't changing, it was the characters who were. Once it was the blond haired one, next it was on an almost meek one and then on another, though the sight flashed by to quickly and focused again on the light haired one again. Alice found it hard to control the focus on this vampires perspective, she occasionally slipped back into he blond vampires future perspective - seeing the male vampire she was trying to focus on - tall and wearing dark clothes. Then there was the scene of the inside of a car - the windows dark tainted. The scenery outside was still, so the Vampire was sitting in a car. Alice stopped. Who's future perspective was she in? What did all these confusing scenes mean? There was a tugging from somewhere and Alice felt herself pushed, or dragged, either way forced back into the darkness somehow. She returned to her self without hesitation. And gasped a little, dark copper eyes focused on the floor of the living room in the Cullen house ~
"What did you see Alice?" Was the first thing she heard, it was Carslile. Alice looked up at him, he seemed a little concerned, though expectant. "I-I don't know... Their not where they were a few moments ago, they must have sensed me or something. But their futures were jumbled and unfocused, there was something strange about one of them, I couldn't quite focus on him.." Alice trailed off as she remembered the tugging motion - even when someone had moved her while she was in the trance it hadn't felt like that. It was so strange, and somehow Alice felt violated, what strange talent had the large, dark essence Vampire had that had made Alice feel so? Because it was obviously a talent of some sort, it had nothing to do with he Werewolves, there would have been no future, and they weren't undecided as of yet because the scenery had stayed the same. Alice took the few steps to sit on the couch, her arms holding her self as if she were cold, but she wasn't. Without warning another wave of the calmness swept over her and she didn't feel nearly as bad. It was very handy having Jasper around, always able to lighten the mood like that. Though there were other reasons as well... When Alice looked up at Carslile he was still pacing. Well this was getting them nowhere fast!

Rosalie had quickly walked down the stairs. She had heard them all talking. She moved up beside Emmett. "What happened?", she asked. "There are 6-7 vampires on our property", Alice said. "What are they doing?", Rose asked. "We're not sure.." Carlisle replied. Rose looked up at Emmett, he smiled at her. Rose hugged him, she was truly scared. "What are we going to do?", she asked Carlisle. "Nothing at the moment, unless something gets out of control", he said. "I know they are on our property, but they might just be passing by", he smiled at Rose, trying to comfort her. I did a bit.OOC: There isn't really anything to post about on Rose's and Emmetts side... Do you think we should give Rose a power?

I didn't understand Edward's urgent need to get back to the house, I mean...he wasn't exactly explaining things clearly. The Volvo wound up the snakey drive, as I looked over at him again. "Edward, what are we doing?" He muttered something, his perfect face frowning. Her shoved the Volvo in park, and stepped out into the not quite overcast day, opening my door for me just as I had grabbed the handle. My left hand, my ring on its proper finger, grabbed his tightly. He gave the forest one dark look, and puled his hand from mine to wind it around my shoulders. Something was wrong, I could feel it in every fiber of my being. What had my danger-magnet brought to Forks this time? Terror rose in my throat, Victoria, Laurent and James couldn't be dead. And unless there was an unknown enemy it could only be the Volturi here to get me at last.
I trembled slightly, as we walked up the steps to the extravagant Cullen house, Edward cold arms pressing me swiftly forward. "Edward. Tell me whats going on?!" I demanded, but it was no more menacing than a dandelion. My lion grimaced, as the we entered the house. Everything was in its place...the piano on its raised platform, the spiral staircase, and Alice seated on the couch. All lovely and beautiful. The Cullens were converged around her, as we went to join them. Edward had me sit on one side of Alice, as I looked around. Why wasn't anyone giving me answers!
"Alice, any more insight?" Edward pressed, having already seen most of what she had.
"Insight on what?" I asked loudly. Edward did not look at me. What was going on?

ooc: Rosalie, do not play Alice, Carlisle, or Jasper. Alice plays Alice, do not speak for her, thats powerplaying. Read the news board if you are confused, I clarified there. And, no Rosalie does not have a power in the book so she will not have one here. Other then that, I'll reply when my brain works, I just rolled out of bed. (Give me a few minutes)

OOC: Ok I forgot.. hehe, is it ok, if I say, like the people made a face, nodded or anything like that? BIC: Rose looked over at Edward who had looked towards her. In her head she thought: Edward, she had the right to know, please tell her Edward made a face then looked away. Rose had never stood up for Bella before, but she just did. It was the true she really did have the right too know what was going on. She was part of the family now and soon to be a vampire, maybe, in Rosalie's point of it, Hopefully not. Rose walked out of the room. She turned around and came back, "What do you think they will do if we went to find them?" Rosalie asked. "They could do anything, they could want to fight", Emmett said smiling. He hadn't had a fight since the big one with the wolves. Rosalie looked at him and made a face. If we're not going after them, I'm going to see Melissa, she asked me if I could come over to her apartment today.

occ: Anything you make another character that is not yours do is powerplaying. I will be more leniant towards characters that have not been claimed. But characters that are attatched to a real-world human being cannot be moved/spoken for. Such as Alice, Bella, or my seven. As far as I know, I gave you permission to play Emmett for the time being, Zo Edward, and Kaleigh Carlisle and whoever she can squeeze in. Also, I think I am going to reply when the story turns back to me. I left a perfectly good open spot just incase you guys decide to check it out. Kaleigh, for some insight (if it helps with your seeing) the Andaire Coven are planning to leave and move on. Aries is thinking about a big city, like Vivian mentioned. Only closer to this location. He is debating with himself while he waits for the snails to get dressed whether he should check out the Seattle real estate.

OOC: Well Rosie was just Powerplaying what I' already generally said with Alice.. so technically it's just a repeat lol If that makes any sense int he Pping department.. And thanks much for the little insight thing.. i think it would be interesting for them to meat... though it would really help if we had more of the Cullen's taken up... BTW, I am an Awsum poster aren't I? lol IC: Edward and Bella barged in, only adding to the urgency that Alice felt. It wasn't the Volturi, Alice knew that. If it were they would have scent in one - maybe two vampires. At least that was as what Alice thought. And those Vampires wouldn't be hanging around in the woods, they were more likely to track Bella down. And Edward obviously hadn't told Bella anything because Bella's tone said it all - what the hell is going on? Alice sighed and shot Edward an almost mean glare before she turned to Bella. "Theres a coven of seven Vampires out in the woods, we don't know who they are and I don't know what their doing, the one has a talent thats throwing me off of him, and he's the Coven leader - as far as I can tell at least." Her tone was a little to close to frantic to be calming, but Alice managed to keep the facade of calmness on, not that Bella needed that, she had already probably learned that Alice's little calmness mask meant nothing. No more insight, the ones I can read are not thinking about what to do next, and the one I can't read is the only one who appears to be making decisions. I thought, knowing Edward would pick up on it. "I'll try again." Alice said as she looked up at Carlile, who seemed to be waiting for her to come up with something that would make a difference. Why did such decisions have to be based on her seeing? It grew stressful.
~ The absent look came over her face almost instantly after she looked at Carlile. They'd made a decision. Or at least the others had been made aware of a decision. Either way the dark and confusing one had. She tried to focus on him, with all her concentration. It grew frustrating quickly and her hands clenched into fists absently. Finally she got a sign of something useful. Or almost useful. The leader was alone, waiting for something, or someone. The others of his Coven. He said something - the sound was screwed up. Crap! They got into their two cars, the coven into one and the leader into another. The cars started and they pulled onto he road. A sign flashed by and Alice read it.
Forks: One Mile Alice cursed as soon as she saw the sign. They were heading for Forks. Alice felt the tugging again and she immediately retreated back into the emptiness and then into herself. ~
Her hands were clenched into fists, she could feel her teeth clenched, hard. A scared yet angry look came onto her face. Seven Vampires, headed for Forks. She thought. "Their headed for Forks." She repeated out loud and looked at Carlile, he stopped and looked at her. A snap decision. Meet them. Jasper was behind the couch, his back to the glass wall that showed the backyard. "Well that isn't exactly good news." He muttered, apparently to distracted to bother sending out a wave of calmness. That as alright though, being calm all the time got annoying some times, though at other times it felt necessary, now wasn't one of those times. Alice didn't reply to Jasper, her eyes were on Carlile. "We're going to meet them. Hopefully before they make it to forks." His voice as confident. My eyes flashed to Bella then Edward. Seven Vampires. That was a few to many for comfort and with Bella. This wouldn't be fun...OOC: Shall we pretend the city they decide to go to is on the other side of Forks?

ooc: Okay, we'll drive through Forks then. From the South, going North, then in the direction of Seattle. A little sightseeing never hurt. I'll see if I can make a real reply before I go to work. Probably not. But we're in no hurry as Zo will not be back until monday. I can think of a better reply while I work. My mind loves to wander there. And about the powerplaying. As long as your fine with small things like that. Short repeats, and and summaries then I have no problem with it. Oh, I'm also debating on playing Esme for a bit. Maybe I'll take Carlisle off your hands then, too. We'll see.

"Sorry. We went to grab a bite." Emily's telepathic voice in my head sounded sorely apologetic. I smiled and felt bad she feels this way so much. I cursed the past that turned her this way. One would think I would have grown used to her subdued personality over the years. I guess I was just so much more furious at what made her this way. I could not allow myself to accept the change. I stared through the windsheild and watched the pale-skinned figures emerge. Their attitudes were much more energetic now. They smiled, laughed and joked. Aislinn raced at warp speed to my passenger window. I was about to open it for her, but her words denied the action.
"I'm goin' to ride with them." She gestured with a slight head movement to the black Audi coupe parked behind me in the turn-out off the black paved road. The rest were already settling around the car.
"Okay." My white eyebrows pulled together slightly in the middle. I wondered if they were going off to continue a conversation I was not involved with.
"When we get to town I'll probably join you again." Her bright butterscotch eyes flashed happily from her very recent meal. Her brows suddenly mirrored mine. "Sorry we didn't ask you to come with us. It was an opportunistic feeding. Something scared a herd of deer our way. We couldn't miss it up." I smiled back at her, showing I did not mind a single bit.
"The map says Forks is the nearest town. I say we drive through it for a little sight seeing before we head off." Lyra was standing just outside the door of the Audi. My rearveiw mirror focused on her. I caught a flash of my own eyes. The menicing red gaze that did not fit with my albino coloration... They were too dark. I wondered how the nearby vampires were about hunting and humans-
"Duh." Leo called out to Lyra. "There's a sign right there!" The index finger of his left hand pointed over my car to the sign ahead of me. Forks: One Mile. Lyra for a split second looked shocked for Leo's remark. But then she laughed a silvery laughed and flashed a wide grin.
"Yeah, I guess that works too." She sighed as she folded the map and slid behind the passenger's seat. Emily took her place on Vivian's lap, as Ailinn sat in the middle, and Lyra sat on the other side. In the front passenger seat, Evelyn took her place. Leo started the car.
I started mine too, but not before I set up the artist I wanted to listen to on my Zune MP3 player. It was plugged into my dash and soon I had the soulful and unique voice of anther era entirely. Billie Holiday sung out her sorrows in the song Solitude. I waited for a car to pass before I pulled out. That would be pointless really, I will end up passing that car within a few second's time. I pressed my foot down on the pedal and the Lotus purred with life, the erge for speed. I answered its call as soon as I saw Leo pull out behind me.
... 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds! I raced away from the black coupe behind me both hands gripping the steering wheel. I could almost taste the jelousy and frustration comming off Leo. The trees past me in a blur, like green walls. If Aislinn were to ride with me, I would not be so reckless. But who was to stop me now? I raced around a curve and the Audi was no longer in sight. The low profile of this car allowed me top speeds around the winding forest roads. I reached 120, 130... inching towards 140... not my car's top speed yet... I was pushing it slowly. Feeling the absolute power as the engine still purred, though not as quietly now. I was having a blast. Billie Holiday seemed to feel the uplift in my mood and awarded me with an upbeat song. I sung along to it, grinning widely, "Those wistful eyes..." the tune went on.
I let my mind wander. Fall out... I let my mind drift near the emptiness. The emptiness of which souls were clearer to me. My vampire mind made it so concentrating on the road and this was not difficult. But I balanced precariously on the edge of the blackness. And not allowing myself all the way would sap me of strength. I felt myself becoming more annoyingly thirsty as I 'entered' the Audi that was a quarter mile behind me... Curious of their conversation. Why Aislinn wanted to be there, crowded, instead of here on the cool leather seats of the car. In the quiet. I stole another glance at my eyes, nearly black. I should stop prying then. It is easier when I can concentrate on just one thing.
...Esme...I walked in into the house from the front yard. My arms covered up to the elbow in potting soil. I was planting flowers to brighten up the yard. Various colors, yellow, purple, orange, red. I loved how cheerful a little flora made everything look.
I was not unaware of Alice raceing in the back door. I did not stop doing what I was doing but I listened quietly to the extange of words. It was not until Edward raced up the door with a look of concern so feirce I think he forgot to say hello to me. That's fine, I knew my son too well. His concern was for Bella's safety from the newcommers.
I finished planting as fast as I could. I decided I needed to pay more concern to the situation. Especially if they were going involve dear sweet Bella. I finally tossed the empty carton of the last six-pack of light-blue pansies onto the porch. I'll clean up the mess later.
In side the house I walked though the standing conversationalists to the kitchen sink. I made sure to smile a conforting smile the whole time. I had to wash my arms, if I touched anything in the house and left the dirt there for later it would bug me to no end.
I rejoined the conversation just as Emmett vocally sided with his brawn instead of his brain. I listened intently to what else Alice had to say.
"Meet them?" I asked Jasper. Well, I was just mostly repeating what he had said. "Actually I think I agree with meeting them. The last time we ignored traveling vampires Bella nearly got killed. Maybe we should take charge and be up front about the situation this time?" I felt a little strange voicing my opinion this much. I usually left the decision making up to the others. I'll just back it up if I like the idea... But Bella's safety, the whole family's saftey could be at stake here. As far as I thought I knew, we wre the largest coven on earth beside the Volturi. How could another this large have existed without someone knowing? I kept these thoughts to myself but I know it was in vain. Useless keeping secrets with Edward.ooc| Sorry it is a little dry. I actually wrote most of it when I woke up. My coffee handn't kicked in yet.
