ooc| First post of the Eye for an Eye plot. I suggest you read the mini-plot board before replying. Those who are already in on it, lets get this thing going! ...Lyra... I stole away from our new home in Seattle to explore the forest lands surrounding it. I decided to go West on my first expedition. I told Evelyn that I was going exploring. I hoped she would relay the message. Aislinn, Emily, and Vivian went shopping in our new city. Evelyn and Leo decided this was a good home-alone opportunity. I believed Aries was in the city too, hunting. He just said he was going to be gone a few hours, but did not tell us what he was doing. But that's Aries, I expected it of him.
I did not need to hunt. I had fed just a few days ago. The day we met the other coven. I remembered that they did not live too far from here. I wondered if I would run into one. Nevertheless, I accepted every opportunity their was to hunt. It killed the excess time and alleviated boredom. Plus the obvious benefits were nice too. I ran my hand through my pony-tailed hair...
I walked leasurely. It still was nothing for a human eye to see. No witnesses, I heard Aries in my head from some memory of a past time. I was sure I had no witnessess. There was absolutly nothing out here. Nothing except silence. The creatures around me instincively grew quiet. As if they knew the ultimate danger was prowling the forest among them.
It was time... I withdrew into myself and my instincts that I supress for daily life in a human world exploded forth. I let my senses govern me now. I waited, I listened, I heard nothing. I watched, I saw nothing. I smelled.. I smelled a stench so musky it nearly turned me the other way. But it was bearable. It was not a smell I could track. If I had been paying attention at all earlier I would have known I was surrounded in this odor.
There was a sound to my right, very far to my right. It was the slight rustling of a bush. An animal foraging for food. I comenced my attack, speeding off in the direction of the noise I had heard.
The closer I got... the worse everything smelled. I also smelled brine on the air and a breeze was much stronger in this area then before. I was close to an ocean...
But my head snapped from concious thinking to my prey all so quickly it nearly made my head turn, because I saw it. The female deer did not hear my silent sprint, it did not have time to hear it.
I was on her neck, my teeth in her flesh before the adrenaline could even hit her veins. I saw her eyes widen in panic after she realized the pain that had started leaking into her body. The pain from the wound, even worse, the pain from my venom. I was a sloppy diner... the blood dripped from the deer's wound and my mouth as I fed.

Stupid, no good ass! Zack thought as he pushed himself into yet a faster run a little faster. H wasn't running at full speed, but in this particular part of the forest there was a lot of undergrowth, such as brambles, which were easy to get caught in. He swore again in his mind. Cursing his twin's existence. He knew by the time he got Home he'd be fine, but for now he was freaking pissed. Zack Hawkkin, member of the La Push werewolf pack. Duh. He had a twin brother, Jeff Hawkkin, who was resisting the inevitable with every shred of will power he had. The stupid dope, wouldn't he rather be a werewolf with his brother? Sure Zack had fought it, because he hadn't known there were others. But why should his own twin fight it? Zack cursed him again. Then he stopped dead in his tracks. A small so vial and revolting that it stung hit him like a brick wall. Nasty! He thought as he sniffed the air. Vampire. He knew the scent instantly. He moved to follow it, he had no trouble tracking it. What the hell was a vampire doing on this side of the border? Stupid bloodsuckers must be getting dumber by the day to come here. He knew the pack was coming, at least everyone in werewolf form. As soon as they'd smelled it thought he mind link they'd akk turned tail and headed this way. They weren't here yet, and they wouldn't be for a while. Zack followed the trail. He stopped some distance from a small clearing. The scent was over powering now, but he pushed on, the sound of a struggle became louder, much louder. The idiot was hunting? How... how... there was no word to describe it. Zack didn't think as his gray and white coated form leaped from the cover, covering the three or so meters between himself and the small clearing where the red headed scum was sucking the life out of a doe. A growl rose in his chest, it rose into a loud snarl. His haunches rose and his fur stood on end a little, no need for a translation here. OOC; sorry about spelling..

...Lyra...
I froze.
The still pulsing blood gushed from the open artery the the doe's neck. It fell down my chin in large amounts. But I couldn't pull away. I had to begin drinking again, that was something I could not just simply stop. If I had my own pulse I would probably end up having a heart attack right now.
And if my feet had a voice they would be screaming at me in frusteration. Fight or flight. Right now, the lower half of my body chose the flight response... but I still couldn't let go... try as I may... a slave to the bloodlust that held me here steadfast.
I do not think I have been so terrified before. My instincts told me this was something to fear, and if there were more, to fear for my existance.
My breathing became rapid as the deer slowly began to become lifeless, the asphyxiation... too slow. Too slow... Something's wrong...
I should have waited for Aries to get back. Like Evelyn told me before I left. "He has not given us the boundries yet." She told me. "I do not think you really should explore until he knows all surrounding areas are safe."
"I'll be fine," I told her. "C'mon, not safe? For us?" I was sarcastic to her. I feel sorry about that now.
Heh... is my life flashing before my eyes? All these thoughts that flew through my head in the split second it took me to understand I was staring at a great oversized dog.
No way... I thought. Those are just legends. My fear finally overtook me. My blazing gold eyes stared back at the creature that was glaring at me. I took a step back, the limp body of the deer, it was still giving me what I wanted, clutched in my arms, held by my teeth. I took another step back.

Zack watched the blood sucker. One of them had actually crossed the border. Good. He'd finally see what it was like to fight a vampire, considering he'd changed to late for the blood bath when the Cullen coven and the wolf pack had joined in order to protect Bella Swan, Zack wished he had been there, he could only get so much from the memories of his pack mates. Dark brown eyes watched the creature that watched him, still clutching the deer, still draining it's life. Disgusting! And she smell was enough to make you want to faint, how could the humans not smell the vampire stink? "Nasty, no good blood sucker." Zack spat, not that the vampire could understand wolfish. Zack wanted to move closer, to leap forward and begin tearing the female to pieces like he'd seen in his pack mates memories, but he wasn't sure he could. Self preservation was just as strong as his instinct to kill. The vampire took a step back, still drinking from the deer. Zack took a step forward. The vampire was just as scared, perhaps more so. Zack took another step forward and the vampire stepped back. A loud, spitting growl punctuate his constant snarling. HE leapt forward, not nearly enough to close the gap that separated him from the vampire, but hopefully enough to get the blood sucker to let go and flee. At least that would mean that Zack wasn't facing it. Besides, maybe he could somehow herd it toward his pack, who's thoughts he could hear giving him advice on how to kill it. They knew the plan he was hoppign to use though, they knew he was scared just as much as he was furious And that he'd rather just chase it toward the pack, there was more saftey in numbers.OOC: we still needs to get another someone who has a werewolf into this post you know..

.Eye for an Eye. .Jacob Black.
Jake's muscles tensed as he sensed Zack lunging toward the vampire. No.You stupid... he thought blabbling on calling him every bad name he could think of. He could tear you in to pieces in 2 mintues. He thought hoping Zack would listen. RUN! Jake quickly transformed and started running toward where Zack was and wandering if he would get there in time to save him. Jake stretched out his long legs striding quickly hoping to save him from making the whole pack weaker.Sam! He called in his head. Back up please.
He rolled his eyes again disgusted by the stupidity of the younger werewolves. Maybe he was a natural born leader he thought. Maybe he already had this common sense. He sighed. He focused on the trees ahead and he came closer and closer almost seeing them in the clearing.

...Lyra... No, no oh gods, no! I was nearly frozen on the spot with terror and the need to run, but my frozen feet stayed where they were as the wolf that found me lunged toward me. My eyes were wide with panic. Luckly, my body began to have its fill. I could feel the bloodlust lessen in me. I could feel my concious mind grow stronger.
And taking its place next to fear, anger grew. Growing stronger by the second. I was able to let go of the lifeless animal corpse. It fell to the ground with a thud. Blood stained my lips, my teeth, my chin. Just a little amount of blood was on my shirt, a little splatter on my shoulder, a little on my chest. Vivan always made fun of me, the way I drank blood. Asking if I needed a baby's bib before I went out to hunt every now and then.
I could only imagine how I must look toward my stalker. Murderer, menicing, a monster.
And he absolutly reeked.
I saw something in my vision in the background. A place I was not focused on until now. Another one... The anger, instinctive and unruly was rising like mercury in a thermometer. I was about to snap under the pressure of dueling emotions.
Fight or run, fight or run....
I stayed. Suprisingly enough. Yes, I should run. That would be the most sensible thing to do. But I was not finding myself sensible. The full feeling I had gained, the momentary lack of thirst gave me great strength... But, still, I was not finding myself thinking clearly enough... I had realised this when I found myself crouched. Ready to spring. My bloody lips curled back over my teeth. A high snarl ripping from the top of my throat.

I don't freaking want to! Zack yelled at Jacob in his head. He'd found the vampire, shouldn't he be the one to kill it? But he didn't have the guts to do it. He knew that, in the end he was just as frightened, okay maybe a little less frightened then the blood sucker was. But still. He wanted to be the one to get the vampire, but he knew very well from the memories of the older wolves that the vampires were tougher and faster then they looked. He sensed Jacob closing the gap and he became more confident. The blood sucker was crouching now, ready to spring. So it hadn't worked, she hadn't run like he'd been hoping she would. And she seemed more angry then afraid now. Damn. But Jacob was quickly coming up behind him and Zack felt himself become more confident. He stalked to the left, never taking his eyes off the creature that was trespassing. He took a few paces then stopped and crouched as the vampire was. He just needed Jacob here, someone who had experience; okay maybe Zack wouldn't be the one to kill the vampire, but he at least wanted to help! Can you hurry up? I don't think she's so scared anymore. He muttered rather irritably at the presence of Jacob in his head. His fangs were bared. He realized he probably should have followed his lunge through with who knows what combination of moves and at least distracted her until Jacob got there. To late now, Zack could smell Jake, and the vampire could to. She glanced away. Zack rushed forward, he didn't actually want to hit her. He was again relying on the memories of the pack here. It was easier to kill a vampire when they weren't facing you, have one wolf as a distraction and make the blood sucker turn so it had to concentrate on two places at once. A growl erupted from her as he rushed at her, he moved as quickly as he could, his own vocal displeasure becoming louder. he was maybe two feet away from her when he moved and sped past.. Hopefully she'd turn to follow him and forget about Jacob, at least that way he'd be able to dispatch the critter.

.... Sam .... What's going on, Sam barked in both of their heads. "Emily, I have to go", he said yelling so everyone could hear him outside. Sam ran into the trees and started running towards the boundary line where they were. First Sam spotted a red haired vampire, then Zack was only a couple feet away from her. NO, Sam yelled in his head, probably too loud. Sam took a spot beside Zack. Sam looked at him, giving him orders to back down. Don't fight her, you're not ready, especially on your own, Sam said seriously. Sam looked around, the vampire was way over the boundary line. Sam looked at the vampire, the smell stunk. He looked away to Emily's little house, where he had just ran from. Back down Zack, I'll take care of her, Sam said again, more seriously than last time. Sam looked at the frightened vampire. Jacob, we might need your help, Sam said, hopping Jack could still hear him. Sam nodded to get Zack out of the way.

Zack would have lunged forward, just to make sure the vampire was paying attention to him, had Sam's thought not suddenly charged into his head. He froze in mid crouch. Zack wanted desperately to help in this, but apparently, even though he'd been a wold for two years he wasn't ready. felt Sam's commanding presence beside him and he backed away a little, head low, though he was still growling, just as much at the vampire as voicing his displeasure with Sam. I could to have taken her. He thought. He knew it wasn't true though. The best he could have done in this situation was what he had done in the first place. He'd scent the signs to his pack members, and they were here now and Zack knew he'd probably just get in the way. He was just at Sam's haunches now, and a few feet to his right. He was mad still, but ashamed, he Had disobeyed orders by letting the vampire see him. Not that anyone would remember that, would they? He immediately thought of something else. Like what it would be like to watch his pack mates kill a vampire. With Sam AND Jacob there Zack doubted he'd have very much to do.

Raphael the Rogue
The masculine could hear them. Those voices, those actions that played like a small movie in his head. He did not think, he did not try to focus on anything because quite frankly he did not want them to know he was there. Watching, waiting for his chance. The nigrescent male took a shuffling step to the left, watching the frightened creature from his spot. She seemed defenseless...a mere woman in his view, because he had never encountered a vampire before. Were these really his pack brothers? The ones he had sought so long? Related to the ones who had banished his own father? Raphael growled low, imagining this tragedy. Attacking something so defenseless? How disgusting. But he would wait, for it seemed that he was missing some crucial piece of information. Chain wavered, slashing his blackened tail stiffly across the forest floor. He could hear Sam, Zack and Jacob clearer than he had before when he had been a thousand miles away. But it was like he had known these people all his life. He knew their thoughts, Jacob's anger at some girl called Bella. Sam's frustration at the pack on occasion, especially Jake. And Zack's worries for his twin. It was all very confusing. Raph took a deep breath, and recoiled. His poor nose! It was like someone was doing a tap dance on his poor schnauze!

...Lyra... I saw something. Amidst the growling in my own chest I heared another one. But it did not come from the wolves that were stalking me from the front. One was staring at me from my side. I saw it in my peripheral vision. A great black brute crouched low to the ground.
So, they're trying to ambush me? I thought. Keeping my focus infront of me... avoiding giving attention to the assassin waiting for the kill?
I did not turn toward the wolf to my side. I did not want him to know that I noticed his presence. But honestly, how could you not? That disgusting smell wafted over to me from every one of them. The air was stagnant here. The odors of everything flowed around everybody low to the ground like water overfilling a glass. And as I were crouched, I picked up all these stinking aromas. I swallowed, the venom had welled up in my mouth again. Anticipation for a fight.
I wanted out of here. My irrational decision to stay and fight it out had crumbled in the isntant I became outnumbered. I wanted to get back home. Safe next to Aries' side and to tell him everything I knew of this forest. Regardless of his anger for my going out without him scouting the area first. Yes. I'll suffer that lecture... I'll promise anything to the gods to just get me safely out of here.
I had to formulate a plan. And quickly. If I attack the front. I will have ALL the wolves on me at once. If I attack the killer waiting in the wings... the one all alone. I might have a chance to do some damage before the others converge on me.
Yes. That is what I'll do. If I run now. They wil chase me. And if the legends are true... they run much, much more faster than me.
I shifted slightly. I was sure they caught the movement. But I was coiled to spring toward my front. Not to the side.
I sprung. I pushed myself toward the air with as much force as I could come up with and hit the ground running a vampire's run. I was going to tackle the oversized (bigger than me) dog. Bearing my teeth and nails in the process...
I was close enough to spring again. Close to the one away from the main group. The one I heared growl quietly... I jumped and aimed for some place that was not the great black animal's head. Hoping my teeth and claws will connect to his furry flesh.
ooc| Since Zo's gone for the week. I am not going to be checking up as often as I normally do. I am attacking her character... so it may be until she gets back to do something about it.

Jake steadied to a halt as he came up beside the vampire. His lips pushed back revealing his vicious fangs and a deep growl came from his stomach. He warned her and before long it would be severely outnumbered. While the creature looked deep in thought he glanced at Zack glaring at him quickly. Jake was mad and Zack would know it as soon as this creature was gone. Did he think he was proving a point? Showing he was stronger. Well, It wasn't working. It made him look stupid and arrogant he thought.
He looked back the creature and glared at it with pure hate and if it was Edward Cullen himself. No way could they blame him for killing a creature not knowing. He was way over the Treaty line. A small grin came across his face. Finally, something to take out his anger on. He heard a rustle in the woods and looked quickly and seen Sam's large figure fastly approaching.
Get the other side of him and He'll be surronded. he thought to Sam.
This creature was severly outnumbed.
He will probably try to run. He thought laughing a bit.

Raphael didn't quite know what to think. One moment he had been watching the little mock fight, the deep snarls and hisses on both sides, and the next the woman was gone and blurring quickly toward him. His tensed legs sprang forward to meet her, unearthly snarls...and unknown for that matter. She was clawing at his blackened fur and his teeth slashed and snapped through the air. Her strong hands grabbed his own shoulders, and his teeth went straight at her belly, though he did not feel a connection? Had he hit or missed? There was a long moment, and his survival instincts knew enough to have him try and get away. He sprang back lightly on his feet, Jacob's warning and comment ecoing in his mind.
No good, filthy bloodsucker! Raph spit angrily.
